Chess for adults, that is.
Chess and cheese and wine and dinner and hor d'oeuvres.
Every Friday night starting early in November.
That's the plan.
Here are the details:
Leve is a National Chess Master and very popular NYC teacher. We
are looking forward to having him join our ever-expanding Honors
Bridge, Scrabble, Canasta, and now Chess family.
If you are already a player:
Nitai will be on hand to offer advice, or go over your game with you.
If you need to be matched up, Nitai will do that too.
Mini-tournaments are on the drawing board, both rated and unrated.
$27 for the evening.
Dinner and chess start as early as 5:45 pm. Wine and hor d'oeurves are from 7:00 pm on.
Nitai arrives at 6:30 pm and stays till 9:30 pm.
Honors closes at 10:00 pm.
If you are a beginner:
for new players will be given Friday evening for about an
hour, stating at 6:30 pm. Mini games and exercises that allow you to
practice what you covered in class will be set up for you so you can
work on your new-found skills with other new players the rest of the
$35 for the evening.
Dinner starts as early as 5:45 pm.
Wine and hor d'oeuvres from 7:00 pm on.
