Mah Jongg sessions have started!

Every Tuesday and Thursday at Honors.

Lisa Chriss is in charge of our Mah Jongg room. Should you not be bringing your own table, Lisa and her core of dedicated volunteers will be on hand to help make up just the right table for you. So definitely feel perfectly comfortable coming alone or with a friend.  It is exactly how we recently built our Canasta program from scratch.

Mah Jongg play is between 1 pm and 4 pm.
Our full hot and cold buffet-style lunch starts as early as noon.
There is plenty of coffee, tea, soda, cake, fruit salad, and our famous frozen yogurt available throughout the day.
The price is $30 per person.

Please email Lisa at lisachriss@earthlink.net for more information or to reserve your place at the table. You can call her at (917)846-8194.
We are all excited about seeing Mah Jongg join the growing family of games at our club.

Two Courses for players new to Mah Jongg.
Dear potential Mah Jongg player,
Would you believe you are only two lessons and two practice sessions away from becoming a Mah Jongg player?!
Mah Jongg, like Canasta, and unlike bridge, really can be taught in just those few sessions, especially if you'll be taught by a really great and experience teaching staff.

What's really wonderful is that there will be only four of you per instructor. And since Mah Jongg is a four-person game, in essence, these will be private lessons.

The courses:
Friday morning from 9:30 am to noon April 5th and 12th.
Monday mornings April 8th and 15th.
Your two practice sessions begin as early as Tuesday April 16th.
Practice sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:45 to 3:45.
The four sessions, plus the new 2019 National Mah Jongg League Card, cost $150.
A $75 deposit holds one of those four seats for you.

All lessons are under the supervision of Lisa Chriss.
You can reach her at lisachriss@earthlink.net. or by calling us at (212)230-1230.

Thank you,
Jeff Bayone
